I'm considering upgrading to C2D so that it's cheaper for RAM (need 4gb).

Are there any decent boards out there which have 2 pci slots (one for wireless card and my DD sound card)

I'm not fussed about overclocking it but more want a very stable board.

Also, Sata2 ports and all the normal bits for a board at this level would be nice.

On the cheaper side, the Asrock 945G-DVI. I'd be looking at the Asus P5K-VM and Gigabyte G33 DS2 though as they use a newer chipset with more future upgradability prospects.

The Asrock board is rather good... I have one...

isn't that much the same as the asrock?

Different NB and SB than the Asrock and with a better layout. Look at the positioning of the 24 pin connector on the Asrock. Only two dimms slots though compared to the Asrocks four. Not a problem for me though as i will only be using 2x1gb sticks anyway.
