Max Payne - The movie?

And here he is...

It should be a good film.

Oh yeah, let's throw in the rapper to attract the 12 year olds and other lesser intelligent beings.

Same with the new Niro/Pacino movie, why on Earth did they cast Curtis "50 cents worth of acting lessons" Jackson?

/Rant.

as most rappers seem to fool hundreds of millions of people into thinking they used to murder people, deal drugs and rob people, but are now completely nice rappers who've seen the light and now want to be rappers. Based on their ability to fool so many people, I guess some directors assume they are already good actors?

Pretty much every single last movie with a rapper in anything other than a very very small role is terrible. Even then with rappers in bit part roles 99% of those films are awful aswell.

walhberg "can" be ok , and he's got the right look however he tends to act in that breathy weird exasperated way where everything he says sounds like he's in shock. I'm not sure he'll do good as Max Payne who even when angry or shot, sounds like a very calm, psychopath :p

ANyway, would be great if the film was good. Playing through MP 1 was so fantastic the first time through. If a game ever told you that story itself and acting over the quality of video was most important. Hopefully film will focus on story, rather than fancy explosions.

Maybe good, as metioned above as long as its not directed by Uwe Boll then its shouldnt be an instant flop, just look at the Dungeon Siege film was awful, even with actors like Jason stratham, Ron Pearlman and claire Forlani

gona be like Hitman Movie :(

My brother rented that the other night and, well............ AWFUL, SIMPLY AWFUL. They even wasted talent (Robert Knepper, Dougray Scott). Almost turned it off it was so bad, eurgh. Same things probs gonna happen with Max Payne too :(.
