Very nice systems. Are they configurable or do you have to have what it comes with? Such as upgrading to 8GB ram etc?
Hopefully be looking for one of these in a few months if funds allow.
Did a side by side comparison of getting the components separately and buying the system and it was very close. For just a few more quid you are paying an expert to put it all together, overclock it and test it is all stable and have it all set up for you. Plus I have seen how tidy the cabling is done and it looks amazing, compared to my current spaghetti junction.
Also, I would probably have to pay £80-£100 for someone to assemble it anyway as I don't feel comfortable doing it. (yes I know everyone says it is easy, but so are a lot of things when you have done them and feel confident doing it)
Just one question, how do you guys ship it? Does it all come assembled or do a few components come loose for re-fitting once safely arrived.
Many thanks for the reply 5UB. Sounds good from what I have heard so far and hopefully in a few months time will be ordering.
Also, slightly agree with tommy, the RAM does look under specced on those, but then I did read somewhere that increasing from 4GB affects the overclocking, is that right?
Hey,
Nice systems, and the £60 odd build fee seems pretty reasonable really over the individual component cost from ocuk.
What seems somewhat daft though, is the poor amount of ram in the systems given their pricing. Certainly the £2300 pc with only six gigs of ram is a bit of a joke. You'd expect 12gb when spending that much on a pc.
Infact, IMO you've really under specced the ram in all of these systems. As I said, the build fee is very reasonable to someone who can't do it themselves, but why not spec them with 8gb / 12gb respectively.
We can make changes to the systems, if you want more RAM, we can offer you more RAM. Just order on the phone and let them know you would like to make some amendments. Done.![]()
Hey 5UB,
Thats fair enough, but my point is, for £2k+ you'd expect 12gb of ram not 6gb.

Not really as it wouldnt fit into the system budget. Also these systems are designed for gaming and anything over 6GB does not make a difference for gaming there really is no point speccing it as standard.
However if customers do want 12GB they can call our sales line and get a custom specced system.
Nathan,
Appreciate wha you're saying here mate, but the price difference between 4gb and 8gb is next to nothing!
The 2300 schmacker pc is hardly a budget pc and at that price, you expect more than the 6gb it has.
The >6GB arguement may ring true in games, windows is certainly a lot nicer to use with 8Gb. 4 gig on a new pc is very very last year. These are supposed to be the latest and greatest 'crysis' machines (rename them battlefield for trueness) and 4gb seems somewhat lowly, as others have agreed.
