MAXIMUM ARMOUR, STEALTH, VISION: CRYSIS 2 SYSTEMS!

Very nice systems. Are they configurable or do you have to have what it comes with? Such as upgrading to 8GB ram etc?

Hopefully be looking for one of these in a few months if funds allow.

Did a side by side comparison of getting the components separately and buying the system and it was very close. For just a few more quid you are paying an expert to put it all together, overclock it and test it is all stable and have it all set up for you. Plus I have seen how tidy the cabling is done and it looks amazing, compared to my current spaghetti junction.

Also, I would probably have to pay £80-£100 for someone to assemble it anyway as I don't feel comfortable doing it. (yes I know everyone says it is easy, but so are a lot of things when you have done them and feel confident doing it)

Just one question, how do you guys ship it? Does it all come assembled or do a few components come loose for re-fitting once safely arrived.

If you order via phone, we can make slight changes to the systems if you like. - We will confirm over the phone if it is possible and also the pricing too.

We ship the systems with the system inside the case box and obviously packaged too for shipment, you receive the motherboard and graphic card box also, with all the driver discs. You also receive the Windows 7 disc if you order Windows 7 and we preinstall this onto the system. You even receive the spare cables, screws and accessories that we do not use. :) Also, depending on the graphic cards if they are larger ones, we tend to remove these before shipping due to graphic cards being held in by just the PCI-E slot they can pop out during delivery, so this is to advoid carrier damage. :)

Any other questions regarding the systems, feel free to keep on asking, we are more than happy to help.

Hey,

Nice systems, and the £60 odd build fee seems pretty reasonable really over the individual component cost from ocuk.

What seems somewhat daft though, is the poor amount of ram in the systems given their pricing. Certainly the £2300 pc with only six gigs of ram is a bit of a joke. You'd expect 12gb when spending that much on a pc.

Infact, IMO you've really under specced the ram in all of these systems. As I said, the build fee is very reasonable to someone who can't do it themselves, but why not spec them with 8gb / 12gb respectively.

Many thanks for the reply 5UB. Sounds good from what I have heard so far and hopefully in a few months time will be ordering.

Also, slightly agree with tommy, the RAM does look under specced on those, but then I did read somewhere that increasing from 4GB affects the overclocking, is that right?

Hey mate,

Read my signature, more ram seems to make very little to no difference, certainly with sandybridge!

Edit : BF3 > Crysis 2 ;)

+1

We can make changes to the systems, if you want more RAM, we can offer you more RAM. Just order on the phone and let them know you would like to make some amendments. Done. :)

+2 for Skyrim - Looks like the best landscapes and gameplay mechanics by far.
nothing really new with these shooters that keep coming out - enemies appear, shoot them, next map, shoot the enemies, collect a weapon...

Hey 5UB,

Thats fair enough, but my point is, for £2k+ you'd expect 12gb of ram not 6gb.

If you (or anyone here) ever need a new system and you want a specific build, feel free to email me or post in the Customer Services section and I am sure we can work on a customised build that is suitible for you. But 12GB for gaming is slightly over the top and I would personally say it is better to have a higher end graphic card and processor over the memory if you want better performance for cost, but then again it depends on how and what you use the system for.

Not really as it wouldnt fit into the system budget. Also these systems are designed for gaming and anything over 6GB does not make a difference for gaming there really is no point speccing it as standard.

However if customers do want 12GB they can call our sales line and get a custom specced system.

Whilst 4GB is low and I do have 8GB in my current machine, whilst gaming which you normally do as the sole activity, I haven't yet seen it ever use more than 4GB.

Nathan,

Appreciate wha you're saying here mate, but the price difference between 4gb and 8gb is next to nothing!

The 2300 schmacker pc is hardly a budget pc and at that price, you expect more than the 6gb it has.

The >6GB arguement may ring true in games, windows is certainly a lot nicer to use with 8Gb. 4 gig on a new pc is very very last year. These are supposed to be the latest and greatest 'crysis' machines (rename them battlefield for trueness ;) ) and 4gb seems somewhat lowly, as others have agreed.

like said though, these are marketed as 'Gaming' PCs, so 4GB-6GB is more than enough for this, why up the price and have 8GB-12GB when no game yet will use it?
IF however these were being marketed as something capable of video editing, gaming, multi-tasking........then the point would be valid, but they are not, they are market solely for Gaming.
and as its been mentioned, if you want more ram, ask and im sure they will do a nice deal on it, but its pointless marketing a gaming pc with 12GB of ram.

Understand what you are saying but more RAM = more £££ and the price would be higher. Customer always have the option but as standard we'll keep to the 4GB and 6GB :)

thinking about ordering the £999 one with SLI 480's, but im worried how hot they will run as they seem to be the ones with stock coolers :( Plus im not sure if the 750w psu will up to the job of 2 of them (although i may be completely wrong)

But yes will probably order this week :)
