Company of heroes, Starcraft 2, Rome:TW and Supreme commander were the last ''great'' strategy games imho.
And in the simulation/building/tycoon genre, we need games like RCT1/2, Openttd, Railroad Tycoon series, Theme Hospital, Sim City 4, Anno1404, Pharaoh, Caesar 3.
Publishers are rushing to get the following finished before the annual summer games drought:
Street Fighter x Tekken
(First ever Tekken game on PC. Must buy for fighter fans).
Resident Evil ORC
(Left 4 Dead style SP & Co-Op squad FPS set in & around some of the iconic locations from Resident Evil2 + 3 but now obviously in a 3 D map).
Diablo 3
(probably the highest selling PC game in 2012 by far. Will it sell lots of extra PC hardware as well I wonder!)
Max Payne 3
(DX11 support confirmed using the RAGE engine that powered GTA-IV lets hope they optimised it a little this time).
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Solder
(looks interesting could be hit or miss though).
Dirt Showdown
(not a game I would personally buy or play as Codemasters are up to their usual recycle everything but the kitchen sink tactics here!).
After this little lot there is little of note coming out until September as the summer slump is as usual being used as a dumping ground for the lesser games although I hope to see Alan Wake American Nightmares on Steam in late summer but who knows what else is coming out & not yet announced as a digital only title.

Max Payne 3 is out June 1st.I knew that but technically still May on PC as 30th May in US or for peeps with the usual VPN to unlock early
I think Resi Evil:RC would be better if you consistently played with 4 friends you've known for a while.
Otherwise it's just another shootymangame.
being a june game doesn't help me, that's when all my money runs out of my bank account to keep people alive (tax, insurance, mot, kid all within a week of each other, yey!)Max Payne 3 is out June 1st.

Agree with this. Command & Conquer 3 was good too (not the expansion though, that was lame). Heart of the Swarm is coming out this year and should be a great addition to the Starcraft series. Think it's coming out a bit later than May though.
We've also got SimCity 5, Rome 2 (most likely) and C&C Generals 2 to look forward to sometime in the next year or so. Here's hoping they're all as awesome as their predecessors.

This tbh. Not going to have any time left after D3.![]()

Only Diablo 3 for me. Not fussed on any of the other big releases.
