Just been out in the car and heard on the radio that McDonlads are now going to add the calorific count on all their products and then I go and see an advert about the new McD's 1955 burger.

I just wanted to know is the 1955 the calorific count?

1955 is the year McDonalds was founded. The calory count has always been on the packaging and on the back of the tray liners in store, but not many people paid attention so the calories are now also shown on the menu boards, to help fight obesity apparently.

I should think it is the year

They are hardly going to shout from the rooftops about the calorific content, even if they do put it on their packaging.

Its starting wednesday, at our store, not sure of calorie content yet but I'm pretty sure its not 1955, when the burger was first brought out I'm not sure calories were measured much anyway.

It looks very similar to Burger Kings recent Summer BBQ burger with the crispy onions and salad. Its making me feel hungry.......got ...to....fight....it....can't....let.....the....urge....win....this time! Resist, Resist, Resist...........oh stuff it I'm going to Maccy D's, anyone won't anything?

The problem, largely speaking, isn't the calorific content. It's the fact that the vast majority of people are lazy and don't do enough exercise to combat the type of calories something like Macdonalds has. Eg very little of calorific value other than fat, salt, sugars, etc.
