Just thought I'd share a few pics from today. Only noteworthy 'new' things were Triumph unveiling of the revamped twins and Kawasaki ZX10R.

Was very busy, much more so than the last time I went, struggled to get some pics, but that's the nature of shows.

As I expected the interviews with Chris Walker and Neil Hodgson were brilliant. John McGuinness was on top form too, sounds like (by what he let out the bag..) he's doing a Guy Martin and will be having a program about his bikes, life, racing etc (he's got 43+ bikes in his garage and over 160 pairs of leathers ).

Really not a fan of the MT10 in that colour.
seen it at the NEC show and it looks like its just primer with lacquer over the top lol

This. I thought it looked a bit naff at the NEC.

I wish they'd put this on a weekend that wasn't Valentine's Day. I'd lose my nuts if I took her to this. :p

it probably is just primer, that and double yellow line road paint for the wheels, they like to save money on the mt's:D

Is that the new Triumph Speed Triple with the engine that Kreeeee talks about all the time?

No.

I go on about it because it's between the new speed triple and the mt10 for my next bike, but only if they improve the speed a lot.

Not long got back from the show, it was absolutely rammed!

Picked up a tomtom rider for a bit cheaper than most of the deals but nothing else.

Of the bikes I looked at/sat on, the Thruxton R - I can really see me having one of these in my garage at some point, it's very narrow, much more than you realise on pictures. There's a few cheap plasticy bits but they can easily be replaced, it felt like a proper cafe racer, much more than the BMW R9T.

The MT10 - very hard seat, not comfortable at all, and it felt cheap, like the switches weren't great quality, but I suppose it's all about the engine.

The KTM 1290 Superduke GT was very nice, and smaller than I thought it would be. It would be my perfect bike, a super naked with some wind protection and luggage, if it wasn't for the price! :(

Some pics:

SV650 - not bad!!

New XSR700 with extras, looks great!

I'll take one of each please ;)

No more of the SV, sorry. It was tricky enough getting those shots, it was heaving in there, the bikes seats weren't cold all day long!

;)

I sat on a few superbikes, my god the R1 is aggressive! felt like I was almost in full tuck just holding onto the bars! The RSV4 and tuono didn't feel as small as I though they would, and the tiger sport, I think it was the new one they had on show... meh.
