On the subject of military hardware is anyone else going to MAKS in Moscow next week?
best quote ever!
I remember that time the brit guys training landed on the wrong beach
OH WOW apparently that beach is a military firing range crazy russians if true
good job it wasn't this beach lol
No, the skirt is broken down into many sections, fingers I think they are called.
Awesome for defending your lake, but not much else.
More beasty boy:
Some great pictures:
anyone remember when the royal marines done something similar a few years ago?
20 odd marines stormed a Spanish beach thinking it was Gibraltar.
Yep - and with a thing that size I suspect that it could deal with some fairly decent sized holes before it became an issue - they don't 'pop' so much as leak a little with each hole.
Sounds like it only ever flew 7 times around 1933-1935 so no movies
^^^^^ that thing flew???
Anyway as far as the hovercraft goes it put topgears hover transit to shame.
If I was to see that bearing down on me, I don't think I'd even be able to comprehend what it was until it was too late...
Is that a fake picture? Looking at other sources it had 7 engines, 6 at the front, one at the back, and no signs of huge turrets on it.
Must be fake.
Red alert 4 Viral ?
allegedly I thibnk all the cannon on it are fake though and digitally added
Tentacle rape if it happens in Japan
Its a CGI mock up, it looked like this:
lol of course the turrets are fake they weigh about a zillion tons x2 and are about 20m deep and there are 2...
the plane would snap in 2 if it fired.
22222 two to tooooo2
ac-130 has the same cannon as
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M102_howitzer for example you wouldn't think it were possible until someone does it
so it's not impossible just unlikely
thats crazy and must be a bone rattler lol
The A-10 "warthog" main gun produces 5 tonnes of recoil. It's 2 engines produce 'only' 8 tonnes of thrust - that's some pretty close maths.
Slightly related, our Royal Marines Commando lads landed on a beach in Spain by mistake in 2002.
