media center for multiple rooms?

I had a friend ask me about the following IT setup:

1 server computer
4 different rooms with screen/speakers/mouse/keyboard

each of the rooms would be connected to the server computer and allow for independent videos with sound for each room.

Is it possible to do all this with just 1 computer? If not, what would likely be the most cost effective way of setting it up?

At the moment I suggested it's not possible and a computer would be needed in each room with them just being networked.

1 x Windows 7 PC with Media Center
4 x MCE HD Extenders (linksys DMA2200?)
5 x 200Mb/s Homeplugs

MCE Extenders over wireless are very flakey, even with Wireless N.

You can do this with Vista/7 Media Center and Extenders. As Xbox 360s can be Extenders then if you buy one of these for each room then that would do what you want. Look for more at www.thegreenbutton.com
