Media centre keeps crashing when i play a new film in Vista

Hi All,

I have a small problem with my vista media centre..........

I have my dvd library ripped to a network storage device and have done the reg tweak to make VMC see the VIDEO_TS files and plays them fine, and it has done for the past 6 week or so that i have had the media centre.

Now my problem is that if i am watching a film and click the back arrow then select a different film to watch as soon as i click on 'play' Media Centre crashes and restarts itself ...........But if i click on 'restart' it plays the newly selected film ok.

Anyone got any ideas......i have a desktop which also runs VMC and that runs ok and is connected up to the same NAS unit.

Have the same type of set up as you, but don't use VMC, I use MyMovies (www.mymovies.dk) that integrates into Media centre really nicely. At using the server aspect can organise all your dvd from your nas box.

Not an answer to your initial problem, but a possibel way to get around it if your happy to use a different product.
