Meh...mutts, who'd have'em!?

I love how in these threads the majority of posters will side with the dog rather than the human....

I am a postman and I constantly have to deal with being harassed by people's badly trained, obnoxious pet dogs on the street.

The only type of dog that never gives me hassle is those whippet thingies, the skinny ones. They are always silent and chilled out.

I have been bitten a few times on delivery, nothing serious, but it could happen so this scenario is very real for me.

OP, I feel your pain.

Same here, i don't deliver to any house that has a dog running loose in the garden since i got bit.

Surely, if a dog were to bite a human being, while on the roadside, the dog is very likely to be destroyed?

If the dog is in its own home and a foreign person enters the home and gets bit, then this is not the dog's fault. But on the street, the dog owner must show that he/she is in control. if they can't control the animal and the animal bits a human, it must be destroyed?

What are the laws regarding dogs biting humans in public places?

Cats stink more than dogs.

I have 3 and they dont smell, Their litter does if they use it. But I clean it straight away.

And i know the rule of if i live with them, I wont smell it because im used to it. But I get visitors all the time, and they alway comment on the fact they're suprised with a house full of cats it doesnt smell.

I've had the same remarks made about our house and our 2 dogs.

Yet when we had 3 cats, even I could smell it (not the litter either, just general 'cat' smell).
