Melbourne in Australia - Things to do!

Haven't been there for 10 years or so but Melbourne Gaol is good as you can see where they hanged Ned Kelly, a plaster cast of his death mask and his armour.
If you like Cabaret/Dinner show type evenings, then Dracula's was a right laugh. Horror themed show involving comedians, jugglers, magicians etc. They like to involve the audience and the only thing they enjoy more than ripping into Pommes is ripping into Tasmanians.
I think you have everything else covered in your list, except maybe having a meal on the restaurant tram which runs at night and makes for an interesting, if slightly costly dinning experience.

Enjoy 5UB:), i was there back in Sept for a few weeks visiting my youngest brother who lives in Brisbane. Hes been there now for almost 2 yrs with the missus.

Did a lot in the 3 weeks i was there, went to Sydney which i have to admit wasnt all that great. Popped down to Melbourne for a day/night as well.

But most of the time spent in Brisbane and the gold coast which is pretty awesome, did a lot of jetskiing as my bro owns one and did a bit of surfing too at surfers paradise.

If you do get a chance, try and pop over to the Gold coast, its a lovely city..similar to Blackpool but much much better and the weather is great all yr round. Although its now getting very very hot over there.

One thing i didnt like was the flight over, far too long even with a stopover in Singapore :/

Is your flight direct or you stopping over??

Missed this thread before. If you're at Healesville Sanctuary, you'll be right near to Yarra Valley. If you're into wine you could visit:

Yering Station
http://www.yering.com/index.php

or Chandon (as in Moet & Chandon)
http://www.chandon.com/

Both do amazing wines, and have lovely restaurants. Chandon do tours of the facility too. :)

You could also visit Maroondah National Park too which is also there, some amazing scenery and forests of prehistoric fern trees.

My mate and his wife runs a B&B near there too, small but homely - and in a lovely location. :)

Go Gold Class in the cinema in the Crown Casino. You get a room with around 20 seats and snacks/meal brought in by a waiter. The seats even recline so that you are lying down basically, the screen is ofset so it is at an angle. Something that was awesome (even if I was watching a truly shocking film!)
