Men and Cosmetic Surgery

Now this is a HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION

i am finding this info out for mate who interested in getting his nose done :o
but is too embarrassed to walk into the clinic because he thinks people laugh at him and call him vain etc

what do you guys think
is it shameful for a guy to try and fix his nose or
do what ever work he feels need to be done so he can feel better about himself

And yes I think its a bit vain, unless you have broke your nose when you were younger and it was bent like a bananna or sommit.

I think it would be very poor business practice for people in cosmetic surgery clinics to laugh at potential clients and call them vain.

If you think having your nose done will improve your life, screw what everyone else thinks and go for it.

edit: by you I mean your mate.
 
Hehe... vein.

I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with it, if you think it will make you happier. Everyone has the right to make their own choices about what they do to their body.

Edit: Damn, beaten! But at least I was beaten by Tru - could there be a more pleasurable way to come second?
 
I've broke my nose more times than I can remember. It's screwed but it doesn't bother me hugely. If I was on silly money then I might consider it.

i think my mate means people in general will laugh not necessarily the people in the clinic

should have made that clearer :)

They're probably just laughing at your nose.

Some people might think its verging on the gaytastic...but whats WAY WORSE is worrying what other people will say :ugh:

Tell your mate to grow a pair and do what HE wants...
 
Do you ever post threads on your own behalf or are you always the concerned mate? :confused: ;) So far we've had eye contact, what to do in speaking to girls and cosmetic surgery. I'm curious about what is next :D

Oh and if it bothers the individual that much stuff what other people think, I can't see myself going for cosmetic surgery myself unless I'd been in a serious accident but that is just me.

Maybe they are all linked? His mate cant get girls as his nose is wonkey and they wont look at him cause they will laugh?

If you're a vain person with a bit of a narcissic streak, then you'll only feel happy if you get it done. If it bothers you enough to want to get it done, does it matter if people laugh at you? Surely it'll be a case of you having the last laugh when your nose becomes more becoming no?

If you're that worried about what people think get your nose broken by someone and at least then you have an excuse ;)
 
My face is scarred up and mashed from boxing for so long.

I couldn't care less, but if it makes somebody happy to get surgery done, lte them be! :)
 
It's a bit vain but that isn't a problem. If he wants his nose sorted, what's the problem? If it's the stick you (wait, I mean your mate) will receive then yes you will receive plenty so if you (I done it again..) can't handle that, don't get a nose job.

A worker on my Dad's building site got one done. They didn't let that go for AGES.
