It is a bit closer than I'd normally be comfortable with but it should be within spec for this PSU.

OC'd i7 setup + GTX470 SLI pulls around 570watt w/ furmark and my Q9550 pulls ~110watt less at load than an i7 setup.

Was looking at the ATI 6870 but the prices were a little more than I wanted to spend. The Nvidia GTX 470 now fits into that slot for price and performance, but I will need a new PSU to run it.

Not that I'd reccomend it - but seeing as single GTX470 on an i7 system comes in at around 360-370watt load with the E6400 you'd probably be within spec for that PSU - tho with an OC in furmark you may exceed 400watt.

Well, I mean I've been doing some reading around and the PSU can do quite a bit more than it's capable of (one of the reasons why I bought it a while back) but a 470 just seems to be pushing it and seems a bit risky.

Nope unfortunately not, were just running a promo on a few GTX 470 lines. When we sell out of this promo stock or by November 15th whichever comes first our pricing goes up.

I bought one of the OCUK value 470's, great card, cooler needs replacing with something quieter though.

I'd probably get one if it wasn't for this, changing coolers is still too much of a hassle and I'm pretty sure the warranty on the OCuk value card would be void if I did this? Plus with the price of a decent cooler it'd be closer to £200 anyway.
