Anybody know what make the overclockers value is ?
Do these prices mean that a GTX 570 is on it's way? £165 for this knd of power is an uber bargain.
It certainly means something is on its way, but you'll never get OCUK to admit that...mainly because of NDA's and self interest in clearing out 470 stock...
how do the pov ones look like?
Stock cooler - comes properly boxed with accessories. All the ones I've overclocked have been decent clockers. Fan isn't audiable above average case noise til it hits 65% which you shouldn't reach in normal gaming especially if you use VSync and/or have decent case airflow.
All the ones I've OC'd have done atleast 800MHz with only minor voltage increases - I suspect most will do between 810 and 850 with 1.087v but generally I've been aiming for a safe OC with other peoples cards.
Id be very tempted to add a second gigabyte, though i thought my psu may be borderline, (corsair hx 850w), particularly with an overclocked i7.It is a bit closer than I'd normally be comfortable with but it should be within spec for this PSU.
OC'd i7 setup + GTX470 SLI pulls around 570watt w/ furmark and my Q9550 pulls ~110watt less at load than an i7 setup.
