The camera wanted to go for a walk today, so I obliged. The heavens opened up and drenched me, but at least I got some pics;

Yay or nay?

I love the horse one, very nicely composed. The IR came out quite nicely considering that they are done on a D40x - doesn't it have the same IR filter on it that the D80 has? I see they are only a 3 second exposure - altho at iso 1600...

Cheers. Not sure about the IR filter tbh. Yeah, I was suprised that I only needed 3 seconds, but once I got home, I realised that I had left the ISO at 1600 from doing the catwalk shoot on wednesday. :o At least they're not too noisy. Live and learn.

I've done that plenty of times when I used to have the 300D :D Annoying isn't the word. Especially when you realise you had the perfect shot and the ISO wrecked it :(

Original one, or the new tweaked 1?;

And another IR one. Its too soft for my liking, but I like how the colours came out, straight out of the camera.

IR is fantastic there, i on't really like the excessive amount of water in the lower half but i'm sure my mind could be changed :)

The horse one looks like something which could be used for an advert (i.e. text on the right), really nice :).

Thanks for the comments guys.

I really love the third pic. It just communicates an air of moodiness and isolation.

Yeah, quite a cool tree isn't it. Its only 19-15 minute walk from my house as well, so I might go back to take more shots of it when the weather is brighter and less windy.

Yep. You got any 1680x1050 versions of that by any chance? It'd make a cracking desktop I reckon.

Or if you haven't got any, make sure you damn well make me one when you go back.:p

Well I can do 2637x2592. Do you want that, or would you like me to make it 1680x1050? And if so, what colout would you like the letterboxing? Black or white?

Er 1680x1050 if you wouldn't mind. And black letterboxing I think.

Thanks.:)

And now time for that immortal phrase, email in trust. :D

*Don't think I've said that before*

Messiah Khan, thanks for the wallpapers. Would you mind sending the original large file? :)

Will do when I get home from work. Although promise me if your going to rip it off and sell it as your own, I want at least 50% of the profit. ;)
