Just been offered one of these, bit out of my price range but never even heard of it. Anyone know anything about them? Looks pretty mean...

They do exist you know Fox. The place I bought my leon from had one in stock, didn't get a test drive as it had no tax, but OMG the noise of it just revving on the spot, I'd have put up with the godawful build quality, shut lines and interior made of newspaper.

If did hear they were built in italy, but for political reason they were shipped to Longbride for the finishing details to applied.

There were 8 people employed to build them and 23 to stick the badges on.

Friend of my old chap is in the trade, on further investigation it's probably just the same RHD one that is on PH as locality is the same. Looks like an interesting car, not sure i'd ever spend that much cash on one though unless I was seriously minted.

Do you mean 'old man'? 'Old chap' is slang for penis, and I doubt very much your penis has connections in the motor trade.

This car is about as far from Rover as you're going to get.

It's not based on any previous model (i.e. 200 > 25 > ZR) and it's got an American engine.

Hell, even Clarkson liked it.

Calling the SV a Rover is like calling an MGB an SD1.

What sort of price is it up for? It isn't the most common of cars and it does look good. I would be tempted at the right price if i wasn't a poor student! Go for it i say!

no he didnt, i was reading a mag with the review of this the other day, the mag was years old. clarkson basically said it was incomplete, felt unfinished and slow on the track because the suspension felt "best guess"
