I've just put two new Michelin Pilot Sport's on the front of me motor and I'm amazed with these tyres!

Fantastic grip - And hardly any wheelspin, even when the roads are damp.

I drive a SEAT Leon Cupra R btw... So it's hi powered front wheel drive.

Does anybody else here rate these tyres?

How much were they per tyre?

I swear by F1's on mine.

EDIT: when you say "hardly any wheelspin" is that with ESP on or off? I get barely any with ESP on regardless of conditions.

Are they the old Pilot Sports with a V type tread, or PS2's which look pretty normal?

I've got the latter on my car and I've been really pleased - reduced tramlining, better grip, less noise and much harder wearing than Conti Sport Contact 2's.

I've got them on my cupra and miles better than the bridgestones and mate had F1s on his BMW and has now move to Michelins and they're miles better.

I ran both PS1's and PS2's on my M3's and the PS2's were the better tyre, which I suppose is good news for Michelin :p I run PS2's on my GT3 and again I am very pleased as they are an excellent all round tyre, though I only get about 6,000 - 8,000 out of the rears, and I hear much less when they are tracked, which they will be this year when I can find time

Oh yes, and I am about to have 2 fitted to the front of my wifes GTi at the weekend to replace the bedrock specials she has at the moment. So shiny you can see your face in em, never let your wife 'look after' her own car......nightmare!!

Never used either, never read a proper test including the PS2's but the PS1's got the wooden spoon in the proper Autocar tyre test - they were lagging seriously behind everything else tested in virtually every test.

Which is why Michelin replaced them with the PS2, a much better type all round, though the PS1's were MILES better than the crap Conti's they used to fit to the M3's. With 19 inch wheels you had 2 choices only if you wanted the correct size tyres

Do you choose your breakfast cereals based on written tests? :p

No becuase if I eat a breakfast cereal that sucks I can throw it in the bin and buy a better one the next day. If I buy a tyre that sucks I have to put up with it for 20,000 miles :)

Plus taste of breakfast is subjective. Whether a car aquaplanes into a wall or skids off into the gravel on a wet road isn't :p

Speak for yourself, if the tyre is crap (and the PS1's were a good tyre) I just bin em and buy some new ones :p

Nah, I just steal cars and never get caught and I live in a bag in a field ;)

I was quite disappointed with the PS2 when I fitted them to my CSL (compared to the very cold & wet Cup tyre) ... but now the PS2 are wearing a bit the grip seems to be reducing nicely. The fun is increasing :D When new they did indeed seem very grippy (even during that initial stage before they were broken in/keying with road properly).

Your bloody problem is you are a freak, and work on a less grip good, more grip bad metric. He's not right in the heed ;)

He's just a fraud - I saw him the other day in a 316i SE. He just pretends to have a CSL because his ego rests on his car blah blah :p
