I'm currently a bit baffled by my current Mic situation.
I used to use a cheap logitech headset/mic for TS etc however I've upgraded my soundcard to an EMU 1616, If I use the Mic/Line preamps on the front of the breakout box with my standard vocal mic, everything is fine apart from the fact that I need the mic positioned on my mic stand. The real problem is that if I try my headset(s) I get no input from the mic no matter what I set the input gain to. The headsets are working fine the only difference is that my vocal mic uses a different connector (XLR type) although doesn't require phantom power so I don't see why this should make a difference.
Any ideas why the headset mic isn't being picked up?
