Hi,

I am in need of a new mid tower case but would appreciate a bit of advice. I have tried to narrow it down by reading some reviews etc and think that the following fit the bill:

Akasa Mirage-62
Antec P183
Corsair Obsidian 650D
Fractal Design R3
Silverstone Temjin TJ09

The case is to house an i7/Z68 CPU/Board combo with the i7 CPU water cooled by a Corsair H80 or air cooled by a Corsair A50. I propose to overclock the i7 to around the 4.2GHz to 4.5GHz and the graphics card will be a Radeon 5850.

Considering the cooling requirements and my liking for an understated rather than more garish case are there any clear cut winners from my list or any definite exclusions?

Any other case recommendations most appreciated.

Thx
Bintos

At which point did you think a TJ11 was a mid-tower case? It's MAHOOSIVE. o.O

Presuming therefore budget isn't really an issue.
For your requirements:
Fractal R3/Antec P280/Corsair 550D/NZXT H2/Coolermaster Silencio are all basically the same case. In my opinion if you're going to get one, get the Fractal.

Corsair Obsidian 650D sounds like the case for you to be honest on that list. Other options would be pretty much any Corsair case, maybe the CM690ii. Bitfenix Shinobi/Raider would happily house what you want. Might want to get a couple of aftermarket fans for the Shinobi though.

KD,

Thx for the reply.

The Antec P280 and Corsair 550D look as though they should be on my list although there seems to be a delay to market with the Corsair 550D.
