Mini Cooper advise.

Don't you drive your parents' Mini..?

I drive both of my parents cars but that is immaterial to my point. They were not purchased specifically for me and I have no priority whatsoever when it comes to having access to them. I'd love to own and run my own car but as a student I simply don't need one neither the financial risk of running one. I was seriously tempted to get a 182 for my last year of uni but I simply can't justify it.

Errr no, young girls do buy their own cars.

Of course and my comment was a bit cheeky. However I do not personally know a single female student who actually bought their own mini, the ones who did buy their own car drive more appropriate cars for a student who racks up about £8k of debt a year. I live in Jesmond and Minis are quite frankly like a poision around here, it's the car choice of every spoilt middle-class student (gender is actually irrelevant) and most of the time it was not them who paid for it. One of my best mates "bought" a cooper s with his "own money" which is fair until you realise the savings he used to fund the purchase were, you guessed it, deposited by his parents over the years.
