Mini Cooper S Works advice required

Hi all

I'm going to look at a new shape Mini Cooper S Works tomorrow, and I'm after some advice from all the Mini experts.

Do they have any issues I should be keeping an eye out for?

Given that everything seems to be an optional extra which are the most desirable?

Any help is much appreciated.

Think the problem with the power steering pump affects most minis eventually.

I'm sure someone else can expand on this.

Not on the new ones it won't. They have a different pump.

Is it a Cooper S with JCW Tuning Kit or is it a factory JCW? Reason I ask is that a friend had his Cooper S dyno'd before and after the Tuning Kit was fitted and showed only a tiny difference in both torque and BHP.

Make sure it's got Chili pack. Leather is also good. Sat nav is rubbish but looks so cool

Not too much to look out for with the R56. They all rattle a bit in the cold mornings (still waiting for a fix for this) and another common prob is the leccy windows not going up properly which is solved with a software update.

Mine has been pretty much spot on.

Its a Cooper S with the JCW Tuning Kit.

Have there been any recalls I should know about?
