Hi everyone,

I need some help in regards to this matter and was hoping if someone could tell me what's the best course of action.

At home I have a surveillance system where my CCTV cameras are connected to a DVR.
I am looking for an alternative method so that I can have a better surveillance system.

I decided to opt for a linux based system to which I will connect my CCTV cameras (through a poe system, rj45 cables).

The best option I found for this is those mini desktops you find online, they should be powerful enough to handle cctv related software as well as be used for entertainment related tasks by connecting it to the TV.

One example is this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINIX-NEO...160466?hash=item2380e22852:g:ajQAAOSwdGFYwWfC

My budget is £150-200 and my question is
can I get a good mini pc in that price?
or
Do you think I can invest that money by making one and have a better system?

if you have any advice on how to proceed on this matter, please let me know.

Thanks
