It's lambing time in my neck of the woods at the moment. Got this shot yesterday which I'm pretty pleased with. I also got me a new Sigma 70-200 f2.8 on Friday but alas this wasn't taken with it (was with my trusty Nikon 18-70)

Anyway, how cute is this...

Ta fella. Probably cos it was taken at quite low aperture (4.5). At full size the lamb himself is pretty sharp actually.
I think given the nature of the pic a softer look suits it more perhaps anyway?

I agree actually. Looks like it's intentionally a soft focus. Nice pose and background too. Really like this shot.

I took a few of lambs last week when we were driving around the Brecon Beacons, but I'm too lazy to process them properly.

This one is probably less than a week old. You can still see his umbilical cord.
