Missing Driver for Gigabit network card

well i know it works in my pc, and also the family one, and it was working before under windows?

so im pretty sure its not a hardware problem, should i still try ubuntu in case?

yes it could have been that i suppose, but i have uninstalled all realtek network drivers and reinstalled them, so i think rules it out

yes i have tried those, no different :/

trying the onvious, you've tried it in different slots....if not, then the mobo could have gone to it's makers when you turned the power off (had that happen once!)

i have tried it in different slots, i dont think its the mobo because the rest of the server works fine, as a last resort im installing the new whs to see if it works

as I said...had a mobo fail on me before, fault was the pci slots didn't work. Everything else did, so the pci based NIC was dead....
I'd try the WHS, if not it's possibly a dead mobo.

im starting to think it is the mobo :( i cant even install whs now, and sometimes it wont boot with a keyboard in. when it boots and detects the keyboard it wont boot from the cd, and i just get a flashing underscore, if i dont plug in a keyboard or it doesnt detect it it says 'keyboard failure' and then says press any key to boot from the cd :/
