Mission to Tannoy

Just changed the front end of my system [well the centre anyway] from a M32ci to a Tannoy MXC and the difference is overwhelming.The Mission i always thought when paired with the rest of my Mission speakers sounded superb,yet the Tannoy seems to bring so much more clarity across the soundstage!

Is this just me being overwhelmed by a different sound source or could the Tannoy be a lot better than the Mission?

Swap back to the Mission as a test, that'll prove things either way.

Tried that today and used Saving Private Ryan as a test track.As much as i hate to say it,the Tannoy does sound better.Somehow it is more refined and clear.

I had a Mission set up many years ago and switched to a Tannoy Mercury set up which as you mention was more refined and clear.
Im now using Tannoy Revolution speakers (no longer avalable) and a MJ Acoustics Ref 100 sub and to my ears it sounds amazing.
