11.7 @ 118mph.

thats cool, but I can't help but think having that nitrous canister in the front like that is outrageously dangerous, in a front on collision that thing is going to explode.

Looking at a tasty mk1 fiesta with heluva engine mods, i dunno what engine though.... rs turbo or summat? How much power it chucking out, must be in the 200+ to propel it that fast?

Looks mint. Penski's posted a car i like, i must now go and cleanse my sins :o

Dont know, looks like a 'charged CVH, can't see any turbo /manifold.

Compound charged or just plain supercharged?

EDIT: I'm going with compund charged due to the two air filters.

Twincharged for the win.

Wierd - I hadnt seen a mk1 fiesta for about 10 years, then on the way home from work I saw an immaculate mk1 XR2, looked totally factory standard. Then I see this thread.

Always wanted an XR2 when I was younger - the cheapest mk2's were about £5000 when I was 18/19 though and I just couldnt afford one. One day I'm going to shock the mrs and go out and start buying some of the cars I used to lust after but could never afford lol.

This car belongs to Chris at Power Engineering and seems to be all over the internet at the minute, It is a very nice car especially given that he built it on a budget at home! The Engine is a Power Engineering System 2 (2 litre) and is super charged and turbocharged with *** can't remember how much power it makes but I could find out easily enough (My brother works with him at power engineering).
He used to run the car in even more of a sleeper mode with the standard supersport alloys and the engine was in the conventional place but he was still spinning the wheels in third gear with slicks down at the pod and could never get better than a 12.4 hence putting the engine in the back to gain some traction.

He ran a 11.55@118 also yesterday

Can I ask a dumb question? Why two air filters? Can't really make out whats going on with all the hose plubming in there.

The second fiter is for the supercharger which vents to atmosphere once the turbo is on boost

Twincharged = win.

Nitrous Oxide is non flamable, although it could ofcourse cause asphixiation if it was damaged and leaked to atmosphere.

awesoime these fiesta's :D

Fiesta rs turbo inlet/EFI. Thinking about changing myself but not so easy a change I heard from the Crappy escort rs turbo managment set up thats on the white beast.

2L, guessing a zetec bottom end or one of them american 1.9 blocks bored out?

That's not what vin deisel reckons when the eclipse he's "not yet taken delivery of" gets sprayed by Jonny Tran and his brother :p
lol, you know FAR too much about that film (not that I've got em both on DVD or anything!! :o )

btw loving the MK1 Fiesta

Nitrus Oxide is an oxidiser, so while it won't burn, I wouldn't want the canister rupturing in a crash...

Old Fiestas are some of the few old school stuff I really like. I love this one...
