Just called Orange to find out how on earth I go about claiming my free broadband from them, after being told to booger off in no uncertain terms from thier broadband support line and speak to "mobile upgrades" on 150 I gave them a right.

"due to a high volume of calls, we expect to take your call in thirty <long pause> minutes"

You what! I'm not hanging on for that long, last time it was 12 minutes. Every 30seconds or so the same womans voice would remind me that they're "committed to a high standard of service" then at a completely different volume level (in other words deafening) the 80s pop music would kick in. When someone did answer my call it took me 5seconds to react as I'd waited so long!

Don't they ever phone thier numbers to see if they have the volume too high on these things? your trying to listen for someone answering but at the same time your trying not to give yourself a headache!

call up and make the keypad selections to go to billing....act like a noob and ask them, when they say your in the wrong place, ask them to put you through to the right person....and bang! your straight through and queue jumped hundreds of people no doubt. works everytime! :p
