Hi guys, Im looking for some input. Im about to purchase a laptop with either of these two cards, a ATI Mobility 1800XT (256MB) or a Nvidia Go 7900 GTX (256MB). Having only really ever used ATI cards over the last five years in wondering how perfomance would compare between the two. I would be using a 1900 x 1200 native resolution where possible, gaming will also be a major factor will all the usual suspects. How does image quaity also compare.

Probably the 7900, but i cant be sure, either card is damn good for a laptop so I wouldnt worry too much.

the 7900 is probably newer and more expensive, but again i can be proven wrong.
 
If you have the money then definitely go for the 7900gtx, it will work much better with the higher resolution that you're after
