Did i again last night, chatting to someone on a mobile from 1 until 4 am from my mum's BT landline.

Pretty worried about the cost as im not really sure what it was i phoned BT earlier, And was told that calling a Vodafone mobile would cost me around 5 pound an hour off peak, so the total cost of the call would be just over 15 pounds.

Tried calling 150 from my line and its saying total cost of calls since last bill sent (AFAIK that was 3 days ago) is 8 pounds. I know this service is not always acurate, but im sure other than this call we have only spend a couple of quid max on the phone in 3 days.

Not sure what to belive as if ive run up another 15 pounds my mum will probably kill me!

Any ideas on how much this 3 hour call to a vodafone mobile on a week night would cost? We are on BT talktogether option 1.

Not 100% sure but Bt charge 15.44p per minute, so that with my rrubbish maths is about £27 i think its too late and i dont have a calculator but i think thats right!

Dont worry bout it too much I ran up a £456 phone bill on my mums landline, I can say i learned my lesson.

Start paying your own bills, then you won't need to worry. But instead you will also be much more aware and unable to accidently run up a three hour phone call.

That or get a mobile, with offers on contracts now days, it's probably cheaper mobile to mobile with free minutes too. Do you *have* to ring a mobile thouhg?

If you knew you'd be in trouble about it, have the willpower not to randomly make a 3 hour phone call anyway! Not exactly something you can do accidentally. If it's someone you talk to regularly and they're at home, why not get a cordless phone that they could use anywhere in the house?

think its time to pimp Vodafone stop the clock :p

i've run up a bill like that before, just dont keep doing it lol otherwise you'll really get caught out.

Its just strange situation at the moment, and ive been trying to sort out a lot. Didnt realise it would cost that much, its #15 plus another 10 from another night.

Have told my mum that i would pay and will when the bill comes in july!

Cannot get a Contract phone as im not 18, but can drive  strange world hey :)
