Hi guys,

Hope to get some help here.

Looking to upgrade, I've always had iPhones through work - recently changed jobs to where I have to have my own now and I've been rocking an iPhone SE 16gb. This little phone has served me well for a few months but the lack of storage is now annoyoing.

Must haves are 64gb min, decent camera including a ultra wide.

Now I am a little invested in the apple ecosystem but not enough that a Android platform would upset that.
I'm unsure whether the iPhone 11 is the phone I want - there seems to be some compromises made but I dont think I can justify the cost of the pro.

I have looked at the S10 and now the S20 - how do these compare?

Cheers

So revisiting this.

Seeing as deals for the S20 are a bit more in total than for an iPhone 11 I think I would rather wait and stump up some more cash for the pro.
The 11 seems like a good price point but the its the size in the hand that is putting me off the most.

Isn't the S20 getting some criticism due to its camera(s)?

Ah ok.
Still not discounting it as the Samsung seems a decent phone.

As for the screen - I’ve come from a previous IPhone 7 and I’ve been using a iPhone SE for the past six months. It’s been my travel buddy and aside from the lack of size I don’t really feel I’m missing out on anything?
I know what benefits a OLED can bring and also 120hz, but I honestly don’t see any scenario where Im going to say, damn I wish I had deeper blacks or I wish this was smoother - on a screen that is 6 inches in across. A TV sure but a phone - is it REALLY that noticeable?

A modern OLED phone screen looks absolutely outstanding. If you don't believe, go check some out in a shop.

A TV is limited by the quality of the source. Most times a phone is not.

I have done, and yes I can obviously notice the difference. What I am getting at is I manage perfectly fine on what I would assume is a substandard LCD because of the screen size, as we all have at some point. When I'm watching Netflix I am already compromised because of the size of the screen.
I have an OLED TV and its amazing but that is mainly because its more immersive, a six inch screen doesn't do that.

Would a better looking screen be nice - sure. Maybe I am just bitter with Apple and to get this holy grail of screens I have to shell out another £400 and actually end up with a smaller screen overall than its budget model - screen size which I am sure you'll agree I'd notice more.

I think I need to wait for more reviews on the S20.
