Model train kit

Not sure if this is the right section but figured might get a more mature response in here than GD

I want to get hold of a steam locomotive airfix style kit, one where you make it yourself and not one to be used on a model railway.

Does anywhere do these? The only ones I can find are a few antique ones on the bay

There are some available as plastic kits, although they tend to be wartime subjects. They do build into impressive models. Try looking on hannants website:
