Modern Warfare 2, what the hell has happened?

I never had this problem. Then again, I rarely did spray and pray.

Its been better since then actually due to another massive wave of VAC bans being handed out. Instead of seeing a blatant cheater daily, its more once a week at best at the moment.

People who change the .exe of the game will eventually get vac banned. Problem is for it to do this, they have to go through iwnet which is complete crap. VAC banning takes around 1-2 months anyway, so through IWNET takes even longer.

Permanent ban from COD4 MW2 multiplayer though when they do get found out. Happens in waves also, usually 2/3 times a year at the moment for MW2.

Been my experience with the game too... my ISP is good enough (at the time when I played BF2 I pinged to the servers ~4-5ms with little flux) and I think my aim is fairly reasonable - you don't manage 46 KS in MW2 with rubbish aim :D

Didn't say it sucked did I? MW2 is actually a very good game executed terribly, IWNet make me sad.

Point of this thread wasnt to bash the game, it was just making a point of the utter horde of cheaters and whatever around these days.
I played SOF2 pretty competitively for years and hacks didn't really reign in its time at all, sure there were the odd one or two but it remained a pretty damn good and fair FPS throughout. MW2 is still a young game and its seemingly lost the fight. :(
 
yeah i would agree with that, its a good game just hugely exploited by A-hole hackers, xbox live is full of the tossers as well. gets on me nerves when people obviously hack and they have the cheek to deny it...! wouldn't dare play the game on PC, PC games are full of hackers period! i remember playing americas army back in the day, 1 in every 3 games or so would have some pain in the arse running around with auto-aim one shotting everyone...class players these hackers! :( any hackers on this forum, **** off your spoiling it for everyone else, go take a stroll on a motorway! :D
 
Sorry for the bump but what the hell lol! Just been in a game and some dude didnt like that I was pwning him so he typed in chat "bye nuber" next second im getting the same effect of major lag then it closes and I get the 'Client command overflow' message same as when people are hacking :o
how the hell can they not fix this stuff, hackers can kick people of the servers! :(
