Mondays

you must not work full time then. I thought by law everyone who works full time is entitled to 20 days (or 21?)

I'm technically classed as a part time worker although I do full time hours mainly because I havn't signed a contract with the company as this was oly supposed to be a temporary job then the credit crunch hit so I'm sticking with this job until things level out.

I've never liked Wednesdays even when I was in middle school when I was a youngster. At college it A-level chemistry all day on a Wednesday aarrrgh!!

Mondays? Don't mind them that much, would be happy to not work them though and stay under the covers:D

Am I the only one who thinks not working for more than 30% of the year is plenty of time off?

Umm 30% of 365 is 109.5 days, can I come work where you work if you get that much time off?? If you want to get really technical then if you exclude weekends that still around 78 days. Or are you including evenings in that amount or something? Or another option is my maths is way off.

No your maths isnt way off but your thinking is. Remember days off include weekends so....

52*2 = 104 days + extra holliday

But I did say that even excluding weekends its still around 78 days and I assumed there wouldn't be any other days off cos he said 30% of the year off. Meh I get 21 odd days of which is around 8-9% of a year so I would love to know what job he works to get 30% off.

Edit: I suppose thinking about it he could be a teacher.

This time its your maths that fails.

30% of 365 = 109.5

there are 52 weeks in a year so assuming you get every weekend off thats
104 days

From the 30% of days off that leaves 5.5 days of holiday which a rubbish amount.

most people probably get nearer to 35% of the year off.

I have 25 days holiday and was thinking it'd be great if you could have every Monday of for like 6 months. I jokingly as my supervisor but he no because he didn't want to sign 25 individual holiday forms. :)
