mondeo engine piccy please.

Morning all

Can someone post or link a picture of a Mondeo tdci 2.0 130ps engine bay please ( 2006 year car ), I ask as I need to know if there is an engine cover as mine ain't got one.

Think ford removed the engine covers on post facelift diesels, so it'd be normal to not have one.

Not sure why cars have them now tbh though, they only make servicing etc more of a pain in the arse.

Correct, the newer ones don't have them, well the 2.0's don't not sure about the 2.2's.

My dad asked the same question when he bought his and was told that tehy stopped fitting them to make servicing easier and alot of them were getting broken when being removed.

I couldn't understand why they do that either - apart from making servicing a hassle they also increase the cost of each car

It's still common though - most engines that I saw in the motorshow had engine covers over them. I like to see the engine personally not swathes of plastic!

the mounting points are there but ford penny pinching got involved. they are available form ford or ebay.
i believe they also stopped putting the little plastic covers on the suspension tops as well. although my 2004 seems to have both.
