Mondeo Mk2 starter motor

Friend of mine has a mk2 Mondeo 2.0 Diesel.

We are looking for starter motors as hers is dead, this may sound like a stupid question but is there any difference between the one for the petrol engine and the diesel?

Seen LOADS of petrol ones for sale but zero diesel ones.

EDIT: Or loads of adverts saying starter motor for a 1.8/2.0 and not specifying for petrol or diesel.

Diesel mk2 are 1.8 only I think?

Sorry my bad, just checked, hers is a 1.8

Starter motors are different for the petrols, you need one for a diesel. Have you tried asking the local motor factors?

Not yet, I found out 20 mins ago and they are all shut!

Get one from a breakers yeard, I think parts from Escort's, Fiesta's fit, I have changed one before took me about 20 mins to do.
