Yeah, sorry, my original post probably looked like I was confused! I'm considering this as it would be better fuel wise, especially with my work journeys everyday being 40-50 mins.

we have a titanium X 05 reg 2.2 deisel mondeo. It has the ST kit as well:)
it is still under warrenty thankfully, as the injecter system has been replaced twice, as it keeps misfiring, and it used to get 50mpg easy but doesnt anymore.
Ford have done a Ford ECU upgrade aswel so it is now faster as part of a service.

IMO if you want a TD mondeo, ge the 2litre ones as there are less problems with them.

I wouldnt pay £14,250 for a 2 year old Mondeo! You can get mint, low mileage ST220's for less than £10k now. I would buy one of these and spend the £4250 saving on lots of petrol.

I love these ST TDCIs. Was so close to buying one but could get a vectra SRI CDTI 150 for 4k less. As it was for a commuter vehicle, savings were the key. In the end never got one.

1) Thats way overpiced for that car by 4k
2) As fox says for that money you may as well by the 220, you will never recoup the savings in fuel costs before the car dies tbh or you sell it on tbh.
