Mine would have to be a 1968/69 Fender Rosewood telecaster. Ever since I saw George Harrison play one in the Let it Be sessions.

That was the introduction to a very limited production run of only 500 all rosewood solid body Telecasters that Fender produced that year in 1968

A google brings up this and a price of $17,500:eek:

# Year: 1968

Fender made a reissue's of these in 2007 in limited numbers and these can be had for around $5000.

But I would love to own one of the original 500 from the sixties.

Please post the electric you would love to own with and image and why.

Easy:cool:

I would like my Gibson Les Paul fitted with the electronics from a Line 6 Variax and also be fitted with a well setup Roland GK3 pickup

If we're including bass guitars, I'll have a Sei Flamboyant headless 6 in mahogany with quilted maple facings and a grey stain, Wal pickups and electronics, an ebony fretboard with edge-mounted square position markers with embedded player-facing purple LEDs and satin black hardware.

If not, I'll have a Fender Bass VI in black. Baritones count as guitars, right? :D

Because - well look at it... sexiest guitar I've ever seen :p :D

(Unfortunate that it is sitting on the worst carpet I've ever seen :p)

Gibson Les Paul 1959 Standard Original. Easily put you back about £300k-£400k :)

Epitomizes the Les Paul sound, absolutely beautiful things.

Check it out here:

I'd like a vintage Strat. Anything pre-1965 in either sunburst or white. Why? I love Strats (I own two), they just sound awesome. Old ones just look way better.

I'd also love a PRS Custom 24, 10 top with bird inlays. I have a PRS CE24 which I've had for about 10 years, but if I could be bothered, I'd sell it and my Ibanez JEM and buy a Custom. Still the best guitar I've ever played. If money wasn't an issue, I'd have it custom made. Why? Because of all the guitars I've played, they play the nicest.

PS: When did '59 Les Pauls get so expensive? When I started playing in 1995, they were worth about £30K, and a 1954 Strat was about £12K.
