It's a subject discussed here a lot and I've spent ages on TFT Central comparing models, new ones come out so often you might be able to give me some up to date advice.
My Acer XF270HU fell off the desk and broke so I need a new screen on a budget. I was relatively happy with it apart from the light bleed. My requirements:
- 27"
- 2560x1440 (or higher)
- IPS panel with good colour reproduction (sRGB mode with factory calibration would be great), I have an old Spyder Pro at homeso I can calibrate it by myself if needed.
- 120 or 144Hz would be a nice bonus.
It'll be used for 50% photo & video editing and 50% games, mostly RTS, sometimes FPS but nothing competitive. I do notice motion blur when scrolling fast in Starcraft or Dota on some slower screens which rally annoys me, my XF270HU was pretty good in that regard.
I'm looking at Dell U2717D but perhaps a more gamer-friendly alternative exists within £400 price range, give or take few quid?
