Gibbo are there any news on ASUS version of 680? Preferably DC2T simmilar to 7970
EVGA's Assistant Product Manager stated today on the 600 series forum on evga's website that the claims made by Gibbo in this thread were not reliable. The comment should probably be interpreted as only applying to the pricing and launch date of the evga 680 gtx FTW 4 gig ram card, with said asst. mgr. claiming the card would not be released until end of may / June, and not in the time frame, or for the price, shown here.

Come on. The remark was specifically directed toward Gibbo's announcement, and it was not stated as a "guess-timate".
Gibbo's ETA dates for all of the 4 gig ram 680's offered for pre-order other than EVGA's have proven to be rubbish, and I don't see how that can be an honest error when it involves so many different manufacturers: all of them were shown with an eta of the 11th or 12th, and now all of them show the 18th (or in one case, simply "overdue). I expect EVGA's eta of the 27th will also prove to be rubbish.
Looks to me like intentional misrepresentations to drive sales. If I'm banned for stating the obvious, so be it; no great loss.
