Hi All,

Rather then hop into the last focus tyre thread, have a 51 1.6 zetec with 195/60 r15's it's no hot hatch of course.

The fronts which are Bridgestone 720's need replacing so will will swap the rear p6000's with no wear to the front.

For the same cost of the p6000 is there a better option, the p6000 seem to have mixed views, also never really felt the rear end was as grippy as the front looking for good wet performance the Bridgestone's were good but really expensive.

Many Thanks.

Don't skimp on your rubber mate. ;)

www.mytyres.co.uk has some very resonable prices.

You could get some Nankang NS-1's for £30 a corner. Looking at the TyreTest.com results they are quite good!

:)

EDIT: Oh and I don't really like swapping tyre's from front to back, best get 4 tyres which are all the same. IMO of course. :)

No worries, opps sorry meant put the new rubber on the rear, the current rear tyres have no wear but are 2 years old - was thinking the same regarding having all 4 the same.

Each to their own on tyres, my personal preference is for Michelin Pilot Exalto's for that tyre size on my Focus.

With no doubt they have saved my bacon countless times when going through hidden lakes (ie actually a lot deeper than they look). The other cars were aquaplaning on the water, mine cut straight through. I have some currently on order to replace my fronts (80 a corner) after 25k. Most of that is motorway but a fair amount is throwing it around in back lanes. Thats just my personal preference :)

I know most of the Mk2 Clio Owners (on the forums) recommend them. In contrast most of the Mk1 Owners recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1's. :)
