I made one of these a while ago, but felt it was time for an update. :)

For those of us who train to music (wether it be cardio or weights) post a couple of songs you find on your playlist! Even if you don't train with music and know some songs that would be good post them up please!

For me:

Nas Ft. P.Diddy: Hate Me Now
Lil Wayne: A Milli
AC and Terra: From The Earth
Chase and Status Ft. Plan B: Pieces
Black Sun Empire: Arrakis
Fabolous: Breathe
Lil Wayne: Prom Queen
Audio Bullys: Gimmie That Punk
Public Domain: Operation Blade
Lisa Miskovsky: Still Alive (Armand Van Heldan Remix)

I also have a lot of Linkin Park and Lost Prophets on there. Find myself listening to a bit more rock when im training as of late.

I don't listen to any music I find the ear pieces just fall out of my ear anyway, and the cables get in my way. I can focus better without music. However I can understand how it motivates some people.

I have a lot of friends who swear by music in the gym, but imo if they put half as much effort into focus and lifting technique as they do worrying about how 'pumped' the track gets them then they'd be better lifters. When a set consists of 25 seconds lifting and 5 minutes track selection it narks me right off. Cant train with track skippers period

If your using an MP3 player, put it in your pocket then run the wires up on the inside of your T-Shirt and then up though the neck hole and into the ears.

Well this will stop them getting in the way, not sure about how to stop them falling out though. Sellotape? :D

I use the music to block out anything else around me, any noises, any people walking around near by. Helps to get me in that 'zone', gets me worked up and when im worked up I dig out the energy to really push myself.

I can do that without music, everything goes quiet and all I hear is the drumbeat of my heart in my ears. It's soothing, and cathartic, but at the same time I almost go into a trance as a result. Apparently I sometimes grunt and I don't even realise I'm doing it.

It actually shows (and dont take this as a personal affront) that you lack internal motivation. Most accomplished lifters and what not prefer the clanking of iron, grunts of man vs gravity, to some black dude screaming about his hoes.

I've only ever found people at a mediocre or low commitment level to require music to work out. Very rarely in decent lifters. However for cardio im behind you, anything to take my mind off the monotony of repetitive cardio is fine by me!

Much prefer to have my own music - can't stand listening to everyone else talk **** about how to do things etc
I mostly listen to Ricky Gervais & Russell Brand podcasts :) Don't go for the whole 'pump me up' type stuff.
