Nice touch by the director to have them both speaking their native languages and for his Kunai to start out for what it actually is, a trowel.
As openings go. They nailed it. Watched it twice already.
Hiroyuki and Joe are brilliant.

I caved and watched the 7 mins.. Genius move there. Im definitely watching this when it comes out. Looking awesome.

I watched the whole film, was good in places. I was never a fan of the game though, so maybe that doesn't help, would give 6/10
The amount that gave Ww1984 glowing reviews means I'll just watch the film myself. Won't bother with any critic now.

I had a huge grin on my face throughout most of it, especially the final 20-30 minutes. It's edited a bit sloppily and certain things feel rushed but damn I enjoyed it. I am a sucker for these kind of films and remember ringing my local video rental place constantly back in the 90's asking when they would have the original Mortal Kombat to rent.
It is certainly not high art but if you are a fan of the games and/or cheesy computer game adaptations I think you will enjoy.
