Not sure if this has been asked before but as I've started replaying the game for a third time, thought I'd ask! In order of frustration then:

1. The one where you have to chase a Learjet with a Cessna. This is virtually impossible to do even if you get above the plane and swoop down towards the corona. Only ever managed to do this by altering the aircraft config to make the Cessna aka Dodo a bit quicker.

2. Any of the timed missions, but the one in San Fierro where you have to chase the four motorcycle couriers and retrieve their packages. Even if you bend the rules and snipe one of them beforehand, it's still a struggle to make the time limit.

3. Zero's New Model Army. I can only get this one to work if I manage to bomb Berkeley's helicopter at the start, otherwise there's just too many barrels to contend with among all the other tasks.

Funnily enough I have just reinstalled GTA SA this weekend.

My problem is flying, I can fly like a god on a PS2 controller but I really suck with keyboard and mouse, I had to get someone on gamefaqs to do the flying school for me in the end last time I played it.

I didn't find the dodo one that difficult tbh, it took a couple of tries but it was by no means the hardest.

The only ones i found really difficult were the flying ones, especially the one where you had to fly to the other side of the map to drop a package. I nearly gave up because of the difficult flying controls on the pc. I ended up changing the movements so that up and down were controlled by the side buttons on my mouse. Made it slightly easier for me. I've since bought a ps2-usb converter but have yet to try it out in San Andreas.

I second you on the new model army though, it was a right PITA :o I didn't realise that you could bomb Berkley's helicopter, it's gonna be too easy now the next time i play through it :p

Kind of the opposite but the one where you have to protect Zero's shop from Berkley's remote control planes was really hard on the PS2 but the pc controls made it the easiest level in the game :p

The side missions in SA take ages as well, very frustrating to complete. I managed to get all the cars for the trade thing at the docks. I managed to complete the fire truck missions. The trick with this was to get to a long road/highway before you start the firetruck missions so that the fire can only spawn along the straight road you're on. This makes it so much easier.

I just plugged my basic Sidewinder joystick in and used that to do all the flying, was fairly easy and even fun sometimes :p, I did some of the flying school for a few people here. I'm going to have to load up my 100% save and mess around in the Apache and Harrier now .

As annoying as that one was, I managed to do it first go. Yey me. Lol. But seriously, the one I hate the most is the guys on the quad-bikes. I kept crashing mine. :(

Hmm, i didn't find any missions particularly frustrating. At least on PC you have the best of both worlds, as you can swap between keyboard/mouse and gamepad depending on what control method makes a certain level easier. For examples, Zero's first mission was horrible on ps2 with a joypad, but a walk in the park with k/m on pc.

The only one out of those 3 i found remotely difficult is the first - messed it up a few times first time through. Played it numerous times since and never had an issue - but then i play on PC using a ps2 pad. Flying is a piece of cake. I just use the tactic you mention of getting altitude and almost dive bombing at the corona - seems to work for me.

The motorbike one i thought was extremely easy.

New Model Army is simple, it just needs some lateral thinking. Leave the car stuck at the first bridge, then fly about putting the other bridges in place and bombing the tanks. Then once you're done put the first bridge in so the car starts up again, and then just follow slightly ahead to knock barrels out the way that the heli has put down. Easy.

The only mission i found quite frustrating was the last one, simply because it's so long.

Hey, ive been wanting to get back into GTA games. After vice city, which was completed in about a week (i was still at school and every1 else was revising 4 exams) on the PS2, i wanted to get SA on the PC but want to know if its widescreen?
Also is GTA ; IV coming to the pc?

i found that quad bike chasing mission the hardest, i couldn't control it, tap left and you spin 90 degrees :(

The flying missions weren't terribly difficult I didn't think, the Cessna chasing the Learjet just took a few goes to perfect the timing of the dive to catch up with the plane. Most missions were just time consuming rather than actually hard, the main issue was keeping concentration for the length of time needed. I haven't played it in quite a while though so it'd probably be quite difficult for me now. :)

The quad bike mission is frustrating but I didn't list it as I've found it's possible to switch vehicles and jack a car to chase the bikes down. Faster and you can ram them as well as Catalina shoot out the window.

I managed the "catching the other plane" mission on the first go.... by accident! I'm sure it's the Saint Mark's cafe mission or something.

I assumed that the learjet would be flying really high, so I got up as high as possible after leaving the airport. So by the time the learjet appeared and passed me, I swung round and put the nose down.

So of course, I got a speed boost flying down aiming in the direction of the learjet. As soon as I got close, it cut to the scene where you get onboard the learjet.

The motorbike mission chasing the courier guys...... when you are driving along with the bikes, tap the up arrow key a lot, as if you were going to stand up on the bike. I find that when you tap the key, you get a speed boost on the bike.

Hope this helps a bit :)

The worst one I've found so far is the one with blind Wooe (is that his name?) and you have to go round the block down the alley were you find the blood feathers gang wiped out and a guy is hiding in the garage. Wooe kept on walking towards cars that were on fire and kept getting blown up. Had to do that one about 20 times before I completed it. Its most definitely buggy that mission.

I found the smoke msiison, were u have to follow a train and let smoke kill the guys on top, really frustrating, i finally did it myself got a bit in front of the train, jumped off the bike and ak'ed thier asses

good work - that took some serious aiming surely? and havent the guys on top of the train got higher than normal health? surely its almost impossible?

None of the missions are hard. I did them all within a few goes on my first run through on the PC :)

I only use a keyboard & mouse - bow down to my flying awesomeness :>

Actually, to save me starting a new thread. I'm stuck! :o When that agent guy says go and buy the abandoned airport for a dollar? I go all the way round to it and it costs like $80000 and says I can't purchase it??? WTF? But he just said, kill them if they give you hassle yet there is no one around. Am I being stupid?

The one right near the start where you have big smoke on the back of your bike and he takes like twelve years to shoot them, and by the time he has you have a slow bike journey back to ... 'the grove'.

Nah, just the game being a bit unclear.

Basically, you can't really buy it for $1. You need to pay $80,000 to get it - i'm assuming you don't have that so can't buy it. You need to go do other stuff til you have the money.
