Most underrated games in the last 12 months (in reaction to other thread)

12.5months ago but...

Cities Skylines, the workshops support made the game really come alive, the dev team seem to listen to the community and bring out patches and updates that add to the game. The traffic AI is still naff but for a small dev team to do such a good job and win more than a few awards is great.

Skylines is awesome! I played a lot at launch but always hit a stage where traffic would go to hell lol not been back since! I think that one was actually quite a hit on pc to be fair but i can also understand it going under peoples radar!

*this is harder to think of under rated games now i think of it, must be loads

A second vote for Grim Dawn. It seems to generate very little interest but you could easily put dozens (or hundreds) of hours into it.

Ori and the blind forest. Loved that game but not much said about it as far as I am aware.

Really? I think most people who enjoy the game are aware of how amazing it is. And it must be popular enough for the developer to warrant a Definitive version of the game.

Another shout for Grim Dawn, a fantastic game that you can easily sink hours and hours into.

Skylines is also another good call, a third I would suggest is Stardew Valley, really addicitve fun little game.

Being a huge Diablo/Titan Quest fan, I bought Grim Dawn when it was in Beta/Early Access.

I found it to be quite mundane and for some reason that I couldnt put my finger on, found it lacking compared to Diablo and TQ. Can anyone who tried the beta/early access tell me what the changes are since it went 'release'?

I came upon it by chance and thought it looked nice so bought it. I can't say I had seen much said about it and I like to keep up with the latest games and game news but genuinely hadn't heard much about it.

The Talos Principle was the same for me and I only bought that to try out Vulkan but ended up loving it.

Maybe I am just old and forgetful :D
