IIRC, they have disabled the counter, so it probably breaks 2794 all the time it just doesn't register it.

This forum has just under 10,000 active users (IIRC that is anyone who has logged in within the last 30 days), I seriously doubt that there is regularly almost 3,000 users online at once.
