Will you be overclocking?

To tell you the truth SLI is a waste at this point in time.

at this stage if you want to overclock a quad then something P35 based is best.
abit IP35 Pro, Asus P5K, one of the Gigabytes.

I believe the Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R is good for overclocking.

Also, why would you want to buy the Q6700 if you want to overclock? the Q6600 will overclock to the same GHZ and be cheaper. If you buying it to get Go, just wait a while to make sure you get a Go Q6600.

Don't buy the QX6700 mate,it's a total rip off!

A Q6600 with a P35 based board will get you to 3Ghz and well beyond,My Q6600 does 3.6 stable in the Asus P5K deluxe, tbh though you'd probably fair just as well with any of the cheaper P35 boards,Gigabyte and Abit offer cheaper but certainly not inferior boards to the P5KD.
