Motherboard Input Straight To Output ?

Hey all,

Not sure if its worth putting this here but anyway,

I've got an Asus M4A78 motherboard and i've just brought a VGA Adapter for my xbox.

I want to get the sound from my xbox to be played out my Surround sound speakers which are hooked up to my computer.

So i was gonna plug the xbox in to the motherboard and get it to play out.

Any ideas on how i would do this ? Would i need a program to do it ?

you should be able to plug the L&R phono sockets (with a converter) directly into your line in on your mobo. you should then be able to set somewhere in the properties to output whats comming in on the input. some boards just do it automatically, but give it ago and see
