Hi guys

My son bought a motherboard last year from members market that arrived with bent pins 11 of them so today i finally got around to seeing what i can do.

So i have tried to straighten the pins as best i can but i notice there is one pad missing on one of the pins, so whats the chance of it still working without that one pad ?

At the moment i have no spare 1150 cpu to try it unless i strip my cpu out of my spare pc which i dont really wish to do.

But anyway whats the chance of it working without the pad

it is possible that it might be a redundant pin
or you might lose some functionality like a memory slot or other peripherals
worst case it will not work
as long as the pins are about where they have to be give it a try

so you have a "spare" pc with the correct cpu in it and cant be bother to take the CPU out of it ?

its not like its difficult to do, and when it comes to a board that has had pins straightened your never going to know if it works without testing it.
