Motherboard says OcUK Swift PSU is unstable

I just rang OcUK to see what they say, and pretty much straight after giving my order number, the guy said "yeah, erm, I wouldn't buy those power supplies if I were you sir". They are happy to refund it if I send it back, so I'm going to buy the OCZ one that T345 linked to.

The fact even OcUK doesn't recommend their own PSUs makes me lol .

Even the CX Corsair PSU's are cheap and not very good.

They have very cheap caps in them.

I've used them on a cheap build, no issues and Hardwaresecrets/jonnyguru gave got reviews for it.

Isn't the V2 the "improved" version?

Ive read many posts here and there about PSUS. 99.99% stating that all are rubbish and dangerous apart from OCZ and Corsair. Why do retailers bother selling the rest if this is true?

I've had a PSU and case for that price.

PSU is the most important part of a build imo.

It's like if you had a healthy balanced diet you'll feel more alert, awake and active to do whatever.

If you eat crap you feel lazy, unstable and don't want to do anything. The pc needs a good 'food' supply.
