Anyone here own such a thing? looking at buying a second hand one (got another project on the go and want some fun this summer, so no interested in building one myself). Looking thru some websites for info and prices, petrolheads seems good but theres only a few on there for sale.

Any info will do, i prefer the external wheel type, lotus 7 style. But thats about it, i also cant afford a busa model so its R1 or simular.

Cheers.

Yeah I got a zx12r powered one..

best bet is try www.lococtbuilders.co.uk for Info..

I have an MNR Vortx RT+ with cossie LSD, Dry sump, Quaiffe reverse box... It cost me around £15,000 to put it together, so dont think you will get one cheap, unless its a junker..

It was built with no compromise tho, all aeroquip fittings, OZ 15inch SL wheels (4.9kg each) Ally uprights as opposed to sierra uprights, racing 4 pot front brakes, digidash, removeable steering wheel, Toyo 888 tyres..

:D

Dr_Who,

What are you doing with those Kwak badges on the back? They look like they must increase the weight of it by 10% as there's clearly nothing else in there that isn't actually needed.

Have to say that it looks awesome, though maybe not as a daily driver, well not unless you daily drive is around southern Italy.

Or Cyprus, Look at where I live ;)

Badges there as they look sweet (drop shadowed green) and to let all the cyprus fast and furious boys know what just spanked them..

Specs are as follows...

T45 Roll Cage
ZX12R with Pace Dry Sump, Pipercross Panel Filter, Ignition advanced 2 degrees, Clean Air system sealed, 4-1 Straight Through Exhaust (very Loud) Power commander PC3 @190 bhp estimated at crank
Quaiffe Reverse Box
Cosworth 7.5inch LSD
OZ Superleggera 15x7 wheels
Toyo 888r 205/50x15 tyres
Radical Spec Inboard Shocks
Sabelt 4 point harnesses
127mph

Corners like chewing gum on an armani suit..

I'm currently mid build on a GSX-R 1100 powered off road buggy, cosworth limited slip diff and all round disc brakes

300kg with 156hp = lots of fun

PS. I suggest building, makes the whole thing more enjoyable

lol, that was that damn thing that started all this off, bought it - then realised it was a pile of rust and sold it! But too late, I was hooked!

All I have at the moment is the engine, the diff and the rear suspension - I'm currently putting together the main chassis jig ready to start the frame :)

sorry for that OT deviation, back to BEC's! as Dr Who said, locostbuilders.co.uk seem to be a great bunch - and should be your next stop :)
